There's no flat fee — bid what you want to pay monthly ($5 minimum) when you claim an open country, and that becomes your hold price. Get outbid and you stop paying; hold your ground and keep climbing the board.
How claiming works
Open territory
First founder in sets the price. $5 minimum, no upper limit.
Contested territory
Any founder can outbid the current holder with a higher monthly amount. Their bid becomes the new hold price.
Your badge tier
Bronze and Silver are free for every holder. Gold, God, Dynasty and Diamond are optional honor-badge upgrades you pick and pay for separately in the badge customizer.

What exactly do I get when I claim a country?+
Exclusive holder status for that territory: your logo and brand colours on the map tile, a full public profile page with your link and category, an embeddable holder badge, and a live analytics view of your traffic.
How does the pricing work?+
There's no flat fee. You name your own monthly bid ($5 minimum) when you claim an open country, and that becomes your hold price. Separately, you choose your badge tier in the customizer — Bronze and Silver are free, while Gold, God, Dynasty and Diamond are optional paid honor badges with a bigger badge, stronger glow and priority placement on the map.
Can someone take my country from me?+
Yes, and that is the point. Any founder can challenge a held territory. You are notified immediately and always get a window to defend before the map changes hands.
How is this different from a launch board or a pixel wall?+
Pixel walls sell you a static square once. Launch boards give you a single day of attention. Territora is a permanent, searchable startup directory with a competitive layer on top, so your slot keeps working every day you hold it.
Do I need to be funded or established?+
No. Territories are first-claim, and smaller markets are wide open. Plenty of holders are pre-seed teams who wanted a distribution channel that is not another ad account.
